Hidden Columbine ~ Today’s Flowers
Christine June 7th, 2009
~~ My own Columbine (left) are about spent because of the hot weather we had the week before, but I took this photo below last evening at my folks’ house. My Mom seeded an area above her rock garden with various blooming plants but due to her age that spot has been overgrown and no one has time to figure out what to do about all the grass. My parents and brother have over 25 acres to keep up and this little spot under the trees is not a priority. I discovered this giant blossom in the grass mixed in with Iris and ground cover. I was delighted to see they are still blooming. Perhaps this fall I can figure out how to weed it a little and not disturb the Columbine. See other amazing blossoms at Today’s Flowers.
