McDonald Pass a few days ago.
Our way is not soft grass, it’s a mountain path with lots of rocks.
But it goes upward, forward, toward the sun.

Please see my previous post to read the story about this bald eagle. Sky Watch Friday photos found on Tom’s site; go visit and marvel at the pictures. This photo was taken by our teenage son Alasdair (age 16) just a few days ago right on the Pacific Ocean – Olympic Peninsula – Quileute River outlet. This spot is a wonderful home for eagles and many different bird species. On this particular evening we were also delighted to spot a river otter and watched a mother Grebe with her babies.
