Stranded via OSI

estranged bliss
in the heart of things-
ocean captive
a soul’s symphony
stranded but never alone
the chorus of waves
~~~~~~
history of days
all of us tossed by events
alone together
Written by a woman who loves the ocean, obviously. Good poems, Christine.
Your words carried me into the photo, captive, alone together. Well done, Christine. Your header photo is just breathtaking as well.
Lovely poem. I love the second stanza. It’s beautiful.
no man is an island…but we often feel like one! your words are rich
Oh so powerful. Your “history of days” made me think “book of hours”–those (often illuminated) medieval devotionals for lay people. You name the sacred in this landscape, and it is very beautiful
“alone together” is what is so powerful to me. I have always ached to be together together. perhaps in our next life . . .
I am glad to hear your mother is recovering and I hope it continues. I know what you mean about many doctors’ manners. They need to understand “alone together” in a deeper way.
Great job. Everyone already said everything I wanted to say, so ditto!
These are lovely… I especially love the history of days… “tossed together by events… alone together….” So true and beautiful and sad all at once.
Love these haikus and your photos, wonderful.
Awesome photo! The words flow…
All of these are fantastic! The first one, and the thought of the ocean held captive, is my favorite.
Beautiful. I love the photo and the words all the way through. Particularly fond of the tide pools which capture bits of ocean…
Small verses but epic themes. I love the photo – so immediate and detailed- you can even see the curve of the earth, giving it a universal setting.
Gorgeous photo and wonderful words.
My favorite is the last … but I enjoyed all three immensely. I’m late to visit because ‘life’ got in the way, but I did publish two ‘week 6’ posts for One Single Impression: Stranded … one on each of my blogs on Wednesday of last week and I hope you’ll find time to visit. They’re here: Heliocopter Rescue and Polar Bears
Hugs and blessings,
