Cool Vancouver

Christine February 8th, 2010

We used to spend summers in this city when I was a little girl. My father was working on his Master’s and we usually spent close to a month in the heart of the city during the sessions he attended at the Theological school. I have so many wonderful memories of these times – walking the pier, my mother buying crab right off the boat, going to the zoo, taking the ferry over to Victoria…it was magical for a little girl from small town Montana. I have been back only once to Vancouver as an adult and it is a much busier, greatly larger place now. It is about the only city I am truly in love with. Enjoy this video which I discovered on the Dish.

I would love to visit Vancouver some day. Your memories sound wonderful. Buying crab off the boat seems like it would be a great adventure.

A wonderful sea of clouds. I’m not a city girl even though I was born in London, but this looks like a beautiful city Christine, I’m glad you found the video, it’s beautifully done. (:

Never made it to the busy city of Vancouver BC, but Victoria was quaint. Wonderful memories to share. Thanks.

Thank you for sharing this. I lived in Vancouver for several years in the 1960s and 1970s. Although I don’t really recognize much in the video (it has grown so much), watching these scenes brought back some great memories of being young in a fantastic city. I met people from all over the world there. What a place!

Wow, beautiful video, but I don’t know about all that rolling mist. Vancouver looks like a fantastic city – we’ll be seeing lots of it in the next weeks.

Pick it up!
