Calypso Orchid
in spring never discovered
now it is winter
~~~~~~~
brown viola
merrily playing folk tunes
music from trees
~~~~~~~
syncopation
rhythm inside my head
counted out loud
still not right
forest walk
heaven’s footpath
suddenly gone

These haikus are marvelous. I would love to follow this path to the end. I have actually found paths like this before. It is always leads to such a mystery.
it is gone, gone, gone.
everything’s gone this morning
can it soon return
Your picture is perfect for the verse. Thank you.
..
Beautiful site. The poetry and photos are so soothing. Thanks for added me to your links. May I add you to mine?
lovely, — very lovely..
I like them all but the last one is my favorite. It is also what I fear. Love the pic that accompanies it.
The first one made me laugh.
The second I would love to hear.
The third–you’ll get it.
The fourth is my kind of place.
Lovely photo! I like “heaven’s footpath”.
All enjoyable. My faves: 2nd and 4th. Great photo: tree textures!
These are wonderful. Syncopation made me smile. Some students were talking to me today about the difficulty of getting what is on their head and in their heart onto paper. Your poem captures the experience perfectly.
The photo and your words are perfect for the prompt C. Lovely! I especially enjoyed the last verse.
Your choices for elusive are perfect – both photos and words! I love elusive, don’t you?
I loved your choices of words and the music theme. I especially liked “forest walk
heaven’s footpath
suddenly gone” so very true. Thank you~
lovely verses, Christine, but I think I like the very last one the best, especially when coupled with that enchanting photograph.
Very nice pictures and verse. Made my day!
All four are wonderful and a complete meal for my mind today.
