SWF ~ Twilight Land

Christine October 16th, 2009

Moody sky over LaPush, WA. with a black concert of marine clouds over the Pacific.  A chilly evening on the beach from July looking southwest.   See other outstanding sky photos at Sky Watch Friday.

Gorgeous photo– I love those clouds, and your description “a black concert”. Of course, almost any evening is a chilly evening in LaPush!

Very lovely. I love the feel that this photo leaves, it has a certain sadness about it. Uniquely Pacific NW coastal.

We get a lot those cloudy, blanketed skies in Michigan!

Beautiful ocean view under wonderful cloudy skies. I’m grateful WE finally got rain at long last ;–)

Moody, yes, but very pretty. Cotton batting holding the earth in place.

What a view! I can’t decided if that looks cold and oppressive or cozy, like a wooly comforter! Either way, it’s a magnificent sky!

That concert is playing here today as it has the past few days. UGH..After all this time it is beginning to seem repetitive. Beautiful shoreline shot.

this is a foreboding, looming kind of picture. one could get lost in it’s intricacies. have a great weekend.

This just the kind of sky to dream cool dreams… Right now, it is 90 degrees here on the central California coast. Looking at that sky is about the only relief from the heat we’re likely to get for the next several days! What a beauty.

Terrific moody shot. Great angle and love your description “a black concert of marine clouds.”

Oh my, I saw your twitter note about your college son. (I don’t twitter so I’ll comment here.)
Our college age daughter battled it at the beginning of the school year. Not fun and I worried long distance.
Hope your son has a mild case and feels MUCH better soon! Sending healing thoughts.
(BTW, loved the spam word “JS Bach.” If I didn’t already read you all are musicians…. would know nowQ)

Wonderful! I love LaPush and haven’t been there in years to watch a storm roll in.

I love skies like this one, it looks like the cotton batting that one backs a quilt with, after the quilting!
