Glad tidings and hope

Christine April 8th, 2007

I realize this is Easter and not Thanksgiving, yet I have much to be grateful for…

A husband who is, albeit carefully walking around, going shopping, making dinner, and clipping grapevines in the garden. He no longer needs crutches and there is hardly a scar to be seen on his now healed broken foot.

A mother who is healthy again and pain free, bringing rolls and pies today for our Easter meal together. A rosy face, positive outlook, and a bright smile which is beautiful to see.

A friend whose abdomen is now clear of cancer, as the last PET scan showed with accompanying commentary from the radiologist that “these issues have been resolved.” The news was brought to me this morning in a phone call.

Glad tidings indeed.

Glad tidings indeed! How wonderful! And truly, isn’t Easter as much if not more a time for Thanksgiving than our nationwide November feast?
